The two most powerful Senate committees with jurisdiction over health care are staring each other down. The conservative Senate Finance Committee is set to release a bill that may not have a public option at all, not even a triggered option. But Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), who replaced Sen. Ted Kennedy as chair of the Health Education Labor and Pensions Committee (HELP), predicts that a bill with a strong public option will pass by Christmas. Read more here
