Weekly Pulse: Finance Committee (Finally) Passes Health Bill

Yesterday, the Senate Finance Committee finally passed its health care reform proposal by a vote of 14-9. As expected, the bill contains no public option. Now the all the health bills have passed their respective committees the debate moves back behind closed doors where party leaders will craft the legislation that Congress will actually vote on. Now that the bill has cleared all the committees, it’s up to the Democrats to decide whether there will be a public option in the final bill. Read more of this week’s Pulse here…
