Live Free or Die Alliance Launches New Site With Ning-Based Town Hall

Common Sense NMS has been hard at work making the Live Free or Die Alliance vision for a vibrant online space to debate issues facing New Hampshire a reality.  Ning is the social networking tool behind the virtual town hall feature on the new site. The Live Free or Die Alliance wanted to capture the elements of a real-world town hall in an online version.  CS NMS found that Ning allows people to create profiles of them selves, capturing the familiarity attendees of a town hall would have with their fellow participants in the real world.  Ning also offers a well-organized structure for discussion and debate.  This, paired with the Live Free or Die Alliance’s great work in reaching out to both sides of an issue to separate the facts from the spin, creates a unique opportunity for New Hampshire citizens to get past partisan rancor, and engage in rational, fact based discussion and debate on the issues that affect them.CS NMS founder James Boyce discusses the model and its potential at the Huffington Post here.
